Carroll County wrestling coach Alex Wray hugs Cavalier Tyler Busick after Busick opened Saturday’s Carroll County Invitational with a win by pinfall. The Cavaliers finished third out of eight teams in the tournament and eight Carroll wrestlers placed. Carroll County’s Jackson Shumate (160 pounds) and Elijah Caviness (145 pounds) won their weight classes while Jaden Poe placed second at 126 pounds. Carroll’s Trenton Burnette placed third at 120 pounds while Skyler Payne (220 pounds), Dustin Dalton (152 pounds), Tyler Busick (132 pounds), and Isaac Brown (106 pounds) all finished fourth in their divisions.
