It was a historic night Thursday for sports in Hillsville as Carroll County’s Mariah Carter became the 7th girl in school history to score 1,000 career points and head coach Marc Motley won his 300th game as the Lady Cavs’ coach. Carroll County defeated Alleghany 72-38 in a Three Rivers District contest.
